Our weekend away

Camryn is frequently told that she will be an athlete when she grows up so she thought that she would try being a football player at the Lincoln Children's Museum.
or how about a ref?
She liked 'flying' the plane.
And really liked being a doctor, which sounds better to me than being a pilot!
The dolls were too easy so she thought she would try out her skills on her favorite patient!
Elody really liked this "puppy." :)
And she was pretty excited to find things to play with that were her size!
I don't have any great pictures from swimming but the girls did have a good time. Camryn took a long time to warm up to the idea of it but eventually realized that she could touch the bottom and then she loved it. She still keeps telling be about walking in the pool.
Elody was not in a good mood when we got to the zoo!

She did enjoy these "puppies." :DCamryn almost enjoyed looking at the fish... for a few minutes.
After a couple hours of being crabby Elody finally crashed,
and Camryn finally got to ride the carousel!
The girls definitely enjoyed parts of the weekend but I think we will wait a couple years before we go back to the zoo. Somebody please remind me of that next summer :) We did have great weather and the girls slept way better than we expected at the hotel, so I guess the weekend was somewhat of a success.

Kite Flying Video

Here are a few different video clips from our kite flying experience today. I will warn you that the video is pretty boring but I thought I would add it anyway for anyone who needs proof that we actually were able to do it. And by "we" I mean Brian :)

Let's Go Fly a Kite!

Two of Camryn's favorite shows have episodes about kites so naturally Camryn has been obsessed with kites lately! So just like Kai-Lan and Dora we went out today to fly Camryn's new kite!

Luckily for Camryn, daddy knows how to make a $1.99 kite FLY!!!! This is a talent that mommy just doesn't have :)

P.S. I do have to admit that I was a little doubtful before we got there but daddy came through and made the little sucker fly, even if it did come down quite a few times.

Look how tiny it is....IT'S ACTUALLY FLYING!!

Elody was a little tired and for once just sat back and enjoyed the show!

This kite flying stuff is serious business.

In true Elody style she decided to join the fun!

And in even truer Elody style she thought she needed to help,

and ended up helping a little too much :)
(if you click on the pictures and view them larger you can see that Elody is trying to hold the string in the picture above and is tangled in the one below)

Apparently kite flying is EXHAUSTING! They both passed out in the car when we left :)

Note: Because I uploaded so many pictures this time I made them smaller, if you click on the pictures it should open a larger view.

Camryn and Elody in the attic playing and dancing

We were going through stuff in the attic and the girls figured out that the jumperoo still plays music and of course had to dance!
