Last weekend we went to Lincoln. When we got there we went to the Nebraska State Capitol. My favorite part of the Capitol is the designs on the floor. We also went to the top and looked out the windows. I like to watch the cars go by, they look so small.
I thought this light was cool. I liked all the light bulbs around the outside. We took a picture so we could count how many light bulbs there were. There were 48 light bulbs plus the big one in the middle.
I went upstairs on a balcony. Each side had a different picture, this was my favorite side.
Here are some of the designs I liked. There were lots of different pictures all over the floor. I liked the bat because I think they're cool.
I liked the owl because my mom likes owls too. And both the bat and the owl come out at night.
The next day we went to Morrill Hall. We sat up on the ledge by the Woolly Mammoth. Morrill Hall had lots of animal skeletons. I liked it! My favorite part of Morrill Hall was the habitat part. We didn't take any pictures there. It had sound features and one had a hole where you could see a badger in it.
I liked the elephants. Either side of them you could see an elephants tush. That was kind of weird.
I like turtles because they have their home on their back and their shell protects them. This was in the exploring room. They also had a tree thing you could go into and smelling jars with lots of different scents. One smelling jar even smelled like a skunk YUCK! Another smelling jar smelled like coffee mmmm.
