Fun in the snow

Camryn was very excited to play in the snow this year. Once she got out there she wasn't sure what to do though. She pretty much just walked around and tried not to get stuck.

Elody got in on a little of the outdoor fun. She loves to be outside now and apparently doesn't understand that when it is cold she needs to stay in. She only was out for a little while but had a blast watching Camryn.

After going back inside and freaking out because Camryn was still outside we decided to go back out and bundled up a little more the second time...

We had to build a snowman before all the snow melted. Unfortunately we didn't have all the necessary parts to make Frosty look perfect (no coal, carrot, or top hat) but we tried to make do with what we had :)

In her defense throwing a snowball with oversized mittens on can't be easy, but watching Camryn try might have been the funniest thing I have ever seen! I'm pretty sure she thought she was throwing shot put.

Santa. the Grinch, and more

Elody's favorite thing to do now (besides trying to climb the stairs) is to crawl under the desk and stand up and peek out at me through the hole by the keyboard.

Poor Elody grows hair as fast as her sister did and therefore is often mistaken for a boy. We decided to put a pony in her hair the other day to try to make her girlier :) They both thought it was pretty funny.

Telling Santa what you want is very serious business!

Elody didn't really want much ;)

We tried to get them to smile for a picture... this is the best we got. It is hard with two!!! I was just glad they both seemed to like Santa this year!

After visiting Santa we visited the Grinch. They tried to tell Camryn that this is the Grinch after his heart grew, but she still wasn't real sure about him (which explains why she is standing so far away from him).

Three little ladies :)

Elody finally met her littlest cousins this weekend. It's too bad we didn't get pictures when they were all happy. These pictures were taken at about 2:30 in the afternoon and naps were all way overdue! They kind of sat for the first one and then little Maggie was out of there! It is hard to believe that Molly and Maggie are 3 1/2 months older than Elody because she is the same size!

This last picture is way too funny! If we only knew what they were thinking!

Christmas Pics

***Update: I have now created an album with all the pictures. Click on the family picture on the right to see the rest.

Here are some of the Christmas pictures we had taken. We didn't get many because both girls were apparently not in the mood to take pictures. Elody has always been the easy one until now, this time all she wanted to do was crawl! We finally got a few pictures of Camryn but had a tough time doing so.

Fall Fun!

We went back to Lex this week and stopped to visit Camryn's best friend Ashley. They were so cute and slightly more cooperative this time...

They had a ton of fun running and playing. I had to add this picture because their faces are too funny!

We decided the girls are a little too young to carve pumpkins and I wasn't in the mood for the mess of painting so we bought the simple version. Camryn loves her Minnie pumpkin and says good-bye to her every time we leave the house.

Sometimes they are so sweet!

Poor Elody! Mommy bundles her up so tight and she isn't a big fan. I could get her gloves on without a fight so they are over her coat and look a little weird, but her hands were warm at least.

Camryn wasn't so sure about jumping in the leaves at first so I had to pick her up and sit her in them.

She figured it out pretty quick though!

My little cheerleaders... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Camryn is good at the cheering part, it was too cute!

Both in the spirit, but not great at holding the pom poms.

and we're off! Camryn was ready to hit the town (or go around the block at least!)

Finally posed for one good one :)

Wow am I behind! As of yesterday we officially live in Hastings. We closed on the house in Lexington at 8:15am and closed on the new house in Hastings at 3pm. We actually moved a week ago and are trying to get settled in. We still have a lot to do though!

This move is a little bitter sweet. We are sad to leave the friends we made in Lexington and also leave the house we brought both babies home to. We are glad to be closer to family and Brian's job though. Camryn is adjusting well and already refers to the new house as her "home" which is what I was most worried about. We might have to make a trip back to Lex soon though to visit Camryn's best friend Ashley.

The last time we saw Ashley we tried to get pictures. I am posting a couple but they are not great, unfortunately both girls were not in the mood for pictures.

In the midst of a very sad football game today we decided to put Camryn's new big girl bed together. We have been waiting for the move and for Camryn to be potty trained before we switch her and we have now completed both so we had no more excuses.

I cannot believe how much Camryn has grown and changed in the last two years! Even now that she is a big sister Camryn still loves to curl up with her daddy.

We've had some pretty lazy days around here... and we're loving it!

Elody showing off her cute little hat.

Oh how I love those big blue eyes and those chubby little cheeks!

My sweet little girls sharing a very sweet moment.

More pics

I posted an album on the right side with more pictures from Hyannis, the ranch, and the park in North Platte. Click on the picture of Camryn on the tractor to see all the pics.

More fun at the ranch

This was Elody's first trip to Grandma and Granddad's and to the ranch. Unfortunately she is a little too young to enjoy it but I think everyone enjoyed getting to see her. Elody's newest talent is that she can hold her own bottle. I'm sure nobody else cares about this but it makes life much easier in general for us and certainly makes traveling easier.

Apparently Elody had a bit too much excitement for the day and decided to take a little nap in the middle of the living room .

One more picture of Camryn's fun at the ranch. There were two cows in the corral that Camryn got to see. I think she liked them more than they liked her. The cows ran away when Camryn came over. She kept yelling through the fence "cows, come here" and then she would moo at them. I don't know if she thought that she should be speaking in their language or what, but it was quite funny. Later she got to see more cows when she went with daddy and Uncle Bob and drove through the pasture to find a tractor.

Fun times at the ranch

This was Camryn's first trip to the ranch since she was only 5 months old so it was her first time to really explore.

First thing when we got to the ranch she spotted a tractor. I don't know why this child is obsessed with tractors but she is. I guess if Grandpa Jack has to have so many granddaughters he ought to at least get one with the same interests as him. Anyway... she was very excited to get to finally sit on a tractor.

Then she discovered the 4-wheeler. I think she would have taken off for a cruise if we would have let her.

Unfortunately for her, she only got to ride with dad or mom. But she really liked that too!

Then the highlight of the trip... Camryn got to ride with Uncle Bob in a "Big Tractor" (as she calls it).
