Spring is on the way!

Camryn has a love for her umbrella and has been DYING to use it. Finally today we had a chance to go out in the rain and use her favorite "Lightning McQueen" Umbrella! Too bad it is still only 48 degrees outside. I can't wait 'til we get a nice warm rain so we can go out and play in it ;)

Elody's Dedication

On February 21, 2010 we had Elody dedicated at church. It was a special day and she was not only adorable but also did a great job. I almost didn't put pictures on because we really didn't get any that were very good but I decided to share what we have.

anxiously awaiting her big moment :)

not a great picture but the only one where you can kind of see us...

What a ONEderful day

I can't believe my baby is already ONE! It was a fast year filled with many exciting changes. I can't believe that just one year ago when Elody was born I was still working and Brian was working at a different job. We were just deciding to sell our house and move. Now we are settled in to our new house and Elody is not a baby anymore!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweet little Elody!

Elody with her birthday cookie. This was really just cruel to hold it in front of her and not let her have it...

Elody with her cupcake

it didn't take her long to decide this was a good thing!

Walking and Singing!

Elody is finally walking! She isn't great yet but she is getting there fast. She is actually sick in this video but in a great mood! Also Camryn didn't want to be outdone so she told/sang Humpty Dumpty and Baa Baa Black Sheep. No Camryn does not have ADHD but in this video she sure looks like it!

My Girls are Growing Up!!!

Elody has been trying new foods and is starting to figure out that the real stuff is much better than the stuff that she has been getting out of the jars! This one however she wasn't so sure of at first :)

hmmm... you want me to eat this???

I guess, I'll try anything

all gone!

A big girl with a bigger smile :D

Ok, ok, ok, I know that Camryn doesn't have a lot of hair and she probably didn't need to have it cut but what girl doesn't like to get her hair done?!? Camryn did great with her first haircut! She sat still and Emily even said that she was "the best 2 year old ever." I of course think that my child is the smartest and cutest but she is rarely referred to as the "best." Maybe that is because she has my personality :)

Such a pretty smile. She was very proud of the penguins she was wearing.

All trimmed up. Maybe next time we will have to get a manicure too!

Fun in the snow

Camryn was very excited to play in the snow this year. Once she got out there she wasn't sure what to do though. She pretty much just walked around and tried not to get stuck.

Elody got in on a little of the outdoor fun. She loves to be outside now and apparently doesn't understand that when it is cold she needs to stay in. She only was out for a little while but had a blast watching Camryn.

After going back inside and freaking out because Camryn was still outside we decided to go back out and bundled up a little more the second time...

We had to build a snowman before all the snow melted. Unfortunately we didn't have all the necessary parts to make Frosty look perfect (no coal, carrot, or top hat) but we tried to make do with what we had :)

In her defense throwing a snowball with oversized mittens on can't be easy, but watching Camryn try might have been the funniest thing I have ever seen! I'm pretty sure she thought she was throwing shot put.

Santa. the Grinch, and more

Elody's favorite thing to do now (besides trying to climb the stairs) is to crawl under the desk and stand up and peek out at me through the hole by the keyboard.

Poor Elody grows hair as fast as her sister did and therefore is often mistaken for a boy. We decided to put a pony in her hair the other day to try to make her girlier :) They both thought it was pretty funny.

Telling Santa what you want is very serious business!

Elody didn't really want much ;)

We tried to get them to smile for a picture... this is the best we got. It is hard with two!!! I was just glad they both seemed to like Santa this year!

After visiting Santa we visited the Grinch. They tried to tell Camryn that this is the Grinch after his heart grew, but she still wasn't real sure about him (which explains why she is standing so far away from him).
