I made it through all the pictures and posted the album of the pictures from today. There are multiple variations of the pretty much the same picture because I am trying to decide what I like best as far as editing goes. If anyone wants any of these just let me know and I will get them printed. Also, I can do more editing to make them however you want (cropped differently, black and white, sepia, color, etc.) just let me know!
The album is under the "album" tab above or you can also click here August 2010

PREVIEW: Elody's 18 month pics (and of course Camryn too)
We took some new pictures today since Elody is a year and a half already. We used Great Grandma Jo's rocking chair (fitting since Elody JO was named after her!). We were VERY careful and were sure to return the chair in the same condition it was in when we took it! I took over 300 pictures today so I will be posting more when I have time to get through them all. I deleted over 200, edited some of them, and decided to post a few of my favorites and take a break!

Grandma's Birthday trip part 1- Trout rearing station
This weekend we made the long trip to Orchard to help Grandma Teresa celebrate her birthday. It was a beautiful day and we spent the almost the whole day outside. Our first stop was to the trout rearing station. Camryn loved feeding the fish and now wants to buy a fish "with spots on his back" like the ones she fed. I think we have her convinced that a trout would NOT fit in her tiny fish tank!
Elody didn't care about the fish but happy as a clam if she had a little gravel to play in :)
There's that look she gets when she is about to do something NAUGHTY,
and here is the look she gets when she thinks she got away with it!
In the meantime Camryn was finding a way to break a few rules...
but I guess since she can't read we will blame Grandma :)
Of course we couldn't leave without posing for at least one picture! Maybe we will have to go back when she is older and see how much she has grown.

I took so many pictures that day I decided that I'd better make this more than one post. Scroll down to see what we did for the rest of the day!

Grandma's Birthday trip part 2- Ashfall and Neligh Park
Camryn was so cute at Ashfall Fossil Beds, she seemed so interested in everything and considering she didn't even think she had bones in her body when we got there, I think she learned a lot!

As we were going through the dig site Camryn decided that she was Dora the Explorer. In this picture she was reading her map :)
Elody even got in on a little of the fun ;)
Then Camryn and Grandma tried out their digging skills!
Needless to say the girls were a little worn out!
After supper we stopped at a park in Neligh and Camryn found a new favorite playground activity.
and also enjoyed the slide!

mmmmm summer
We FINALLY got some sweet corn last week. I love corn but I HATE cleaning it so I have been putting off buying any.
Of course the girls were anxious to help as soon as they saw that I was doing something messy! I was a little doubtful that they could do it but Camryn quickly proved me wrong.
and in time Elody was able to get hers too!
yummm... all the hard work of cleaning it was worth it!
Camryn couldn't get it in fast enough!
Corn is a little messy!

THREE
For almost 2 months now Camryn has been introducing herself (to anyone who will listen) by saying "My name's Camryn, I'm 3." Apparently Elody has been listening because now she is sure that she is also THREE! I love her cute little voice so I had to add this video to the blog :) Even cuter though is watching Elody watch this video! She says everything right with the video and gets very excited when she watches herself!

"The one is one and the two is two"
Camryn's new favorite activity is hopscotch. A couple weeks ago she couldn't hop at all and now she is getting pretty good. It is fun to watch her because she is so determined to do it and she just keeps working at it and improving each time! We had been outside for a while and when daddy got home Camryn decided that she needed to teach him how to do it. It was so cute watching her try to explain it, she kept telling him "the one is one, and the two is two" (trying to explain when he had to hop on one foot and when he could use two).
I am posting this before the video has completely processed so I hope it works. I will check it tomorrow and fix it if it doesn't... Remember you can click the title of this post to watch the video larger on YouTube.
