Last week we got to visit Camryn's kindergarten classroom. She was very proud and showed us everything in her room. We met Guinea the guinea pig, saw where she sits, visited the library, found where she hangs her backpack and then got sucked in by the book fair in the gym.
We are very blessed that Camryn loves school and is very excited to go every day. In fact she is sad when it is a weekend and she can't go to school. According to her teacher she is doing well other than being a little talkative, no idea where she gets that from :/ I can't wait to see her continue to learn new things.
Camryn's first kindergarten milestone was learning how to tie her shoes. She has a new pair of shoes with laces that I wouldn't let her wear to school because she couldn't tie them. After school the first day we sat down and practiced it a couple times and she mastered it immediately.

KINDERGARTEN!
Ready for her first day of kindergarten!
She was very excited to see Bree when she got there. Bree lived across the street from us and moved about a month ago. Unfortunately she is in first grade but they still get to go to recess together.
Ready to go in! She didn't show one ounce of nervousness! I'm not surprised though... she definitely takes after me!
End of her first day. I am so glad that they get out at 1 for the first week, I don't know if I could have handled another 2 hours away from her!
The girls were very happy to see each other. Elody was the only one to cry when we dropped Camryn off :(
Camryn with her teacher Mrs. Leth. I graduated with Mrs. Leth so we know Camryn is in good hands!
Camryn and Bree found each other again after school. I hope these girls stay friends for a long time!
So cute!
Elody didn't want to be left out :)

Finally, a few new pics
We finally got a few new pics of the girls today. I wanted 5 year pics of Camryn and 3 1/2 yr pics of Elody. Also we needed to get pictures of Camryn with the glasses. Somehow I got her to wear her original pair of glasses in these pictures, not sure how I pulled that one off. She got a second pair because we needed some for back up and of course she loves them and only wants to wear the new ones. I think they are slightly too big for her face and have been sitting a little crooked lately. Also, I think these fit her much better and are more comfortable but she wears the new Barbie glasses because she is female and apparently will endure a little pain for beauty :)
Anyway, enough rambling.... here are my favorite pictures from today!
I couldn't get both girls to smile in the same picture without making them laugh so this was the best we could do of the two of them.

June 22-24, 2012
The following 4 posts contain pictures of our weekend getaway. This was definitely one of the better trips we have taken. The girls are finally getting old enough that traveling is a little more possible and there are a lot more things they can do than even a year ago. Our trip may have involved 1 bee sting, 2 ticks, 3 different states (ok really only one but we did cross the border into 2 others), 8+ hours of driving, a 10 min doctor visit, and 63 extra stops to potty but we had fun and everyone survived!
