Sunday Snapshot #46~ "Date" time

For a few months now we have been doing "daddy dates" and "mommy dates" with the girls. They love getting to do something special with just one parent and without a sister around. Don't get me wrong, the girls LOVE doing things together, but there is nothing better than some individual attention! Tuesday Camryn had her first girl scout activity, the Hoe Down! Brian and Camryn went out to supper and then got together with lots of of father-daughter couples for some old fashioned fun.

Camryn and her friend Hailey, unfortunately I wasn't there to get decent pictures :(
By Wednesday Elody was feeling very left out after hearing all about Camryn's "date." Since I needed to do a couple things in Kearney and Elody doesn't have school on Wednesdays we decided it was the perfect time for a Mommy/Elody date. We had a great day of shopping and Elody wanted to go to the Archway for her "special" activity. I think she chose that mainly because she wanted to do something that Camryn had not done before. It might not have been the most fun thing we could have done but Elody really liked it, so much so that we went through it twice!

Elody really liked the covered wagons, she has learned about the Oregon Trail before and liked getting to see a "real" covered wagon.

She did a great job listening to the stories.
